This guide will explain the two methods available for adding a file to SecureSave.
You have two options for adding files to your SecureSafe: one method involves using your operating system's file explorer, while the other allows you to simply drag and drop files. Both methods will be detailed in this article and can be switched between seamlessly.
Method 1: Using File Explorer
Follow these steps to easily add files to your SecureSafe using the file explorer on your operating system.
- Log in to your SecureSafe account.
- From the menu in the left sidebar, select Files.
- If you are accessing your SecureSafe through the web application, there are two Upload buttons in place, through which you can start the file uploading process: One within the Files tab and a second one in the collapsible sidebar on the right.
- In the now displayed file explorer window, navigate to and select a file that you wish to upload.
- Optionally, if you wish to import multiple files, hold down the Ctrl (PC) or command (Mac) key and use your cursor to select additional files.
- Once you have made your selection, confirm by clicking Open.
- In the main window, check the list of files and ensure that it now contains the uploaded file(s). A message confirming that the upload has been completed successfully will temporarily appear on the screen.
Method 2: Using Drag and Drop
To effortlessly add files to your SecureSafe using the drag and drop method, follow these steps.
- Log in to your SecureSafe account.
- From the menu in the left sidebar, select Files.
- Using the file explorer on your device, navigate to and click on a file that you wish to upload.
- Optionally, if you wish to import multiple files, hold down the Ctrl (PC) or command (Mac) key and use your cursor to select additional files.
- Next, drag the selected file(s) to the main window of your SecureSafe application. As you do this, a designated box will appear in the main window for you to drop your files into.
- In the main window, check the list of files and ensure that it now contains the uploaded file(s). A message confirming that the upload has been completed successfully will temporarily appear on the screen.
