Learn how to navigate the SecureSafe interface in order to use the various features and functionalities offered in SecureSafe to their fullest potential.
The SecureSafe interface is a central point that allows interaction with the various features and functionalities offered in SecureSafe. The following guide to the SecureSafe interface provides an overview to assist in interface navigation.
Please note: The overview that is provided here only accounts for the interface of the web application, given that this interface provides access to more functionalities than the desktop or mobile application interfaces.

1 | Linked SecureSafe icon | Clicking the icon will display the dashboard, providing an overview of all the safes you have access to, including your own Private Safe as well as any Team Safes you have been granted access to. |
2 | Safe filter (dropdown) | The dropdown menu hiding behind the safe filter provides an overview of all the safes you have access to, including your own Private Safe as well as any Team Safes you have been granted access to. The integrated search field enables you to easily find a specific safe. By clicking on Create Team Safe, you can create a new team safe. For more information on this subject, please refer to our article on how to create a team safe. |
3 | Search field |
The bar allows you to search for records matching your search term. The results filter as you type, and only objects within the safe that is specified through the safe filter and of the type specified through the menu points on the left are searched. Example: If you select Passwords from the menu points on the left, only records from the type Passwords are searched (but not Files or Mail-In records). If you select Files from the menu points on the left, Passwords and Mail-In are ignored, leaving only records in Files are searched. |
4 | Account (dropdown) | Click the account dropdown menu if you wish to make changes to your subscription or account configuration. For more information on upgrading or renewing your subscription type and on SecureSafe account settings and configurations, please refer to the respective article. |
5 | Logout icon | Click the icon to log out of your SecureSafe account. |
6 | Passwords tab (default) | Click the Passwords tab to display. The information displayed under 9, 10 and 11 will as a consequence be password-related. |
7 | Files tab | Click the Files tab to display. The information displayed under 9, 10 and 11 will as a consequence be files-related. |
8 | Mail-In tab | Files tabClick the Mail-In tab to display. The information displayed under 9, 10 and 11 will as a consequence be Mail-In-related. |
9 | Password categories (default) |
This panel displays elements according to your selection of tabs between 6, 7, and 8. By default, elements linked to the Passwords tab are displayed. For this tab, you can select between All passwords and your personalised categories of passwords (for more details on adding and assigning password categories, please refer to our article on the subject). The password list (10) filters to display records matching your selection. Alternatively, this section also allows you to add a password. For more information, please refer to our article on managing passwords in SecureSafe. |

The central field of the interface displays elements based on the following criteria:
The resulting list shows information on Title, Username and Password (for password elements), on Name, Size and Date (for file elements), or on Subject, Attachments and Size. |
11 | Overview sidebar (default: password-related statistics) |
The elements contained within the collapsible sidebar are displayed according to your selection of tabs between 6, 7 and 8. It is, however, not affected by your subsequent selection in 9. To collapse the sidebar, click . For Passwords, statistics on the total number of passwords, the number of weak passwords, as well as the number of reused passwords are displayed. Furthermore, this section also allows you to Import or Export your passwords (for more information, please refer to our article on managing passwords in SecureSafe). |
12 | Inheritance tab | With the Passwords, the Files or the In-Mail tab selected, click the Inheritance tab to assign associated records to preconfigured beneficiaries. For more information on how to configure data inheritance in your SecureSafe, please refer to our article on the topic. |
