Managing Files in a Team Safe: How to Add and Delete Files

Learn how to easily upload files securely to your team safe and how to delete any files you no longer wish to store in your team safe.

This guide will walk you through how to add new files to your team safe and delete files when they are no longer needed. To add files to your team safe, there are two options of doing so: one involves using the file explorer on your operating system, while the other lets you easily drag and drop files.

Adding Files to a Team Safe: Using File Explorer

  1. Log in to your SecureSafe account.
  2. Access the dropdown menu for safes.

    From the expanded dropdown menu for safes, select an existing safe in the Team section.
  3. From the now expanded dropdown menu, select an existing safe in the Team section.
  4. Within the team safe's sidebar menu on the left, select Files.

    Within the files tab in your team safe, click on one of the two "Upload" buttons to access the file explorer.
  5. Click on one of the two Upload buttons, located either in the Files overview or on the right sidebar, to access the file explorer window.
  6. In the file explorer window, browse to the desired file and click on it to upload.
  7. Optionally, if you wish to import multiple files, hold down the Ctrl (PC) or command (Mac) key and use your cursor to select additional files.
  8. After making your selection, simply click on the Open button to proceed.

  9. In the main window, check the list of files and ensure that it now contains the uploaded file(s). A message confirming that the upload has been completed successfully will temporarily appear on the screen.

Adding Files to a Team Safe: Using Drag and Drop

  1. Log in to your SecureSafe account.
  2. Access the dropdown menu for safes.

    From the expanded dropdown menu for safes, select an existing safe in the Team section.
  3. From the now expanded dropdown menu, select an existing safe in the Team section.
  4. Within the team safe's sidebar menu on the left, select Files.
  5. Using the file explorer on your device, navigate to and click on a file that you wish to upload.
  6. Optionally, if you wish to import multiple files, hold down the Ctrl (PC) or command (Mac) key and use your cursor to select additional files.
  7. Next, drag the selected file(s) to the main window of your SecureSafe application. As you do this, a designated box will appear in the main window for you to drop your files into.

Deleting Files from a Team Safe

  1. Log in to your SecureSafe account.
  2. Access the dropdown menu for safes.

    From the expanded dropdown menu for safes, select an existing safe in the Team section.
  3. From the now expanded dropdown menu, select an existing safe in the Team section.
  4. Within the team safe's sidebar menu on the left, select Files.

    Within the main interface of your SecureSafe application, which displays the structures of your folders and files, locate and select the file you want to delete.

  6. Optionally, if you wish to import multiple files, hold down the Ctrl (PC) or command (Mac) key and use your cursor to select additional files.
  7. Once your selection is made, select the Selecting the ellipsis icon will display a dropdown menu, containing the option "Move item to trash". icon in the collapsible sidebar on the right. If you have selected multiple files, the sidebar will differ slightly from the one displayed here, but the instructions remain the same.

  8. From the dropdown menu displayed, select Move to trash.
  9. When prompted to confirm, click Move item to trash.
