Files Interface: Organizing Files in Your Team Safe

Learn what actions are available for the files you have saved in your team safe and how to access them.

Team safes, an innovative feature integrated into SecureSafe by DSwiss, aim to boost secure collaboration among team members or colleagues. With team safes, users can create a shared digital vault where information can be collectively stored and managed by team members. This feature caters to businesses, organizations, or teams looking for a secure and centralized platform for collaborative document storage and password management.

When managing your files in a team safe, you have a variety of options to perform tasks on stored files. To access these options, please carry out the following steps:

  1. Log in to your SecureSafe account.
  2. Access the dropdown menu for safes.

    From the expanded dropdown menu for safes, select an existing safe in the Team section.
  3. From the now expanded dropdown menu, select an existing safe in the Team section.
  4. Within the team safe's sidebar menu on the left, select Files.

    The following actions are available for files stored in a team safe: Display, Download, Print, Mark as unread, Rename, Copy to..., Move to..., Send securely, Share link, Move to trash
  5. Select a file from the list of files displayed in the main window, for which you wish to carry out one of the following actions:
    • Display
    • Download
    • Print
    • Mark as unread
    • Rename
    • Copy to...
    • Move to...
    • Send securely
    • Share link
    • Move to trash

  6. The sidebar on the right displays a preview of your file, allowing you to get an idea of its contents without the need to open each file individually. Not all file types may have a preview available.
  7. Additionally, you have the option to perform actions at the top of the preview sidebar. You can also right-click on each file to access the same options and actions available in the sidebar. Below is an overview of the various options and actions that you can take for each file.



Display To open your file on a page of its own, select Display.
Download Select Download or click on the download icon in the sidebar on the right to download your file to your operating system's download folder.
Print Select Print or click on the print icon in the sidebar to print out your selected file.

Mark as unread

Select Mark as unread to mark the file as unread within the file structure. A red dot will appear to the left of the file listing, indicating that the file is now marked as unread.

7. Other Actions for Team Safe Files_Mark as Unread
Rename Select Rename if you wish to adjust the name of your file.
Copy to... To copy the selected file, select Copy to... . This opens a window, giving you the option to either select an existing folder or create a new folder to copy the file into. Complete copying the file by clicking on Copy here.

Move to... To move the selected file from its current folder location to a different location, select Move to... . This opens a window, giving you the option to either select an existing folder or create a new folder to move the file to. Complete the action by clicking on Move here.

Send securely To securely send a file to a selected email contact, select Send securely. Refer to our article on enhancing secure collaboration for more details.
Share link To easily share files with members of your team safe, you can send them a link that will take them directly to the desired file. Simply click on Share link to access various options for sharing the link with your team members.

You can easily share a file with other team safe members by sharing a link to the file.

You can choose from three link types:

  • Display files in the team safe: Clicking on this link will open the team safe to the exact location of the shared file, highlighting the file for easy access.

  • Open file in file viewer: By selecting this link, the file will open directly in the team safe viewer without being highlighted in the file structure.

  • Download file from the team safe: Clicking on this link will prompt a Download file option to appear. Simply click on the Download button, and the file will be saved to your operating system's download folder.

    When clicking on a download link to a file in your team safe, the file will be saved to your operating system's download folder.

Move to trash To delete your selected file, select Move to trash. This opens a window, prompting you to confirm deletion by clicking on Move item to trash. The file is now deleted from SecureSafe. Different file types and folders may offer various actions, so be aware of the differences.
