Move your data from S-Trust to SecureSafe

You can transfer your data such as passwords from S-Trust into SecureSafe by using your S-Trust app.

 

Automatically transfer your data from S-Trust to SecureSafe

The easiest way to import your passwords is from the S-Trust web app . Follow these steps to migrate:

  1. Open your S-Trust web app

  2. Click on the link in the top bar banner which signals the starting point for your data transfer to SecureSafe

  3. You will be directed to SecureSafe.

    1. Select one of the special migration offers prepared for you. Make sure to chose any of the 3 Bundle if you want to transfer files.

    2. Follow the on-screen instructions to create a new SecureSafe account.

    3. On the welcome screen in the SecureSafe app, information is displayed on how to start the actual migration of your data from S-Trust to SecureSafe. Just follow the instructions on-screen.

Important

  • After the migration, the Digital Inheritance feature will no longer be available and users will lose access to any related settings.

  • Users who use the desktop app should ensure all local data is fully synchronized with the server before starting the migration, as the new version of the app no longer includes a desktop version.

Manually transfer your data

If you want to manually import your passwords from S-Trust, first export your data:

  1. Make sure you have a SecureSafe account and select one of the special migration offers prepared for you.

  2. Select the Export function within your S-Trust app to confirm the export of your data.

  3. Save the export file to your device.

  4. Open your browser and sign in to your SecureSafe account.

  5. Go to the Profile Icon in the upper right corner and navigate to the Password section and look for Import Passwords

  6. Click on the Import Password button and follow the onscreen instructions.

  7. Go to the Profile Icon in the upper right corner and navigate to the Files section and look for Import Files

  8. Click on the Import Files button and follow the onscreen instructions.

Important

After you’ve imported your information into SecureSafe, delete the export file from your device.

Next steps

  1. Get the SecureSafe Pass browser extension for your browser. You’ll use the SecureSafe Pass browser extension to save logins and sign in to websites.

  2. Get the SecureSafe Android or iOS app. Use SecureSafe on all your devices: Mac, iOS, Windows and Android.

  3. Set up two-factor authentication for your accounts, to add an extra layer of protection.
