SecureSafe File - Mobile: Download files on Android

Note: 

The following guide was done on Samsung device, with One UI 8. Depending of your device’s manufacture, some differences might exist. 

You can download a file in your safe to your device, so you can access it offline. This files are downloaded directly to your device’s file provider app (Files App).

  • To download a file, click on the 3-dots menu of a file:

  • Select Download

  • For your first download from the SecureSafe app, you will be asked to turn on your notifications:

❌ SecureSafe will not send you any notifications, except for download progress.

  • The notifications on Android devices serve to keep you updated on the download process, specially for larger files. After the download, you can open the file directly from the notification, making it easier for you to access the file.

  • You can Go to Settings, and enable notifications, or click on Not now to dismiss notifications. If you go to settings, just enable the toggle:

  • After the download start, you will see a pop-up in your app stating the start of the process:

  • As soon as your download is finished, you can expand the notification and Open the file directly from the notification:

  • You can also navigate to you files app (in this example - Samsung’s My Files App), and search for the downloaded file, in your downloads folder:
