Web Version
User Management
🆕 - Users can now manage access and permissions directly from within the app, streamlining administration and improving control over shared content.
Revenue Management System Integration
🆕 - The new app is integrated with a Revenue Management System, enabling automated invoicing, improved communication workflows, and better visibility into revenue data and trends.
Mobile and Tablet Responsiveness
🆕 - The new interface is fully optimized for both mobile and tablet screens, ensuring consistent usability and navigation across all device types.
Full Accessibility Compliance (WCAG 2.2 AA)
🆕 - The new version meets WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility standards, offering improved support for assistive technologies and ensuring an inclusive experience for all users.
Translation via Localization Tool
🆕 - The app now uses a centralized localization tool, simplifying translation updates and ensuring faster rollout of new languages or text adjustments.
French and Italian Languages
🆕 - The interface is now available in French and Italian, expanding accessibility and usability for a broader user base in the DACHLI and EU regions.
Open and Preview Files other than PDF
🆕 - We currently support rendering for images (JPG, PNG, GIF, BMP, WebP) and plain text and code formats (TXT, MD, LOG, CSV, JSON, XML, YAML), in addition to PDF. HEIC, TIFF, and video are not supported, and there are no near-term plans to add them.
Safe Changes Notification Handling
❌ - The ability to receive notifications and set the recurrency per Team Safe was deactivated due to a conflict with the legacy implementation.
Notification handling will be improved within the next releases.
Data Inheritance
❌ - The data inheritance feature is not available in the new app.
Mail-In
❌ - The Mail-In functionality is not implemented. Users cannot forward documents directly to their safes via email.
Mail-In is under evaluation for 2026.
Activity Log
❌ - The activity log functionality is not yet integrated into the new app.
Activity logs will be release on Sep 2026.
Mobile
In-app File Upload
🆕 - Users can now upload documents directly from their device’s file provider within the app. Previously, they could only add non-photo/video files by sharing them to the app with authentication. This streamlines the upload process and improves accessibility for stored files.
File Search
🆕 - Users can now search for file names and file types within the mobile app.
The search bar can locate any item in a safe’s file tree.
Download/Open Files Flows
🆕 - The “Open With” option allows users to quickly open files in SecureSafe that can’t be viewed directly in the app, such as Word or Excel documents.
A new quick download function enables users to save files to their Android or iOS devices for offline access.
Scan Functionality
❌ - The new app doesn’t yet support document scanning. The previous version allowed users to capture and upload documents directly from their device camera. This reduces convenience for mobile workflows and will be reconsidered for upcoming releases.
Create .txt files in-app
❌ - The ability to create or edit plain text (.txt) files in-app is not yet available. Users who relied on this for quick note-taking or log entries will need to create files externally, which adds friction.
(iOS only) Files available in File Provider
❌ - iOS File Provider integration isn’t implemented in the new app. Previously, users could access SecureSafe files directly from the iOS Files app.
