SecureSafe Files - Mobile: Uploading files on Android
Note:
The following guide was done on Samsung device, with One UI 8. Depending of your device’s manufacture, some differences might exist.
In the new SecureSafe File Manager, you can upload existing photos, videos – or directlytake a picture in-app – as well as documents stored locally in your device.
- To do so, click on the + button:

- To upload a new photo or video, select Take photo or Take Video:

- The app will open your device’s camera. Take the photo or video you want, and then click on OK. If you want to repeat the photo or video, click on Repeat/Retake:

- As soon as you click on OK, the media will be uploaded to your SecureSafe File Manager. Depending on the size, this action might take a few seconds:

- As soon as your media is uploaded, you will see a confirmation, and the file will be available cross platforms, and to every user with access:

Good to know:
You can also upload existing photos or videos in your device’s Photos App. To do so, click on Upload photos and videos:

- A new pop-up will open, for you to select the picture or video to add to SecureSafe File Manager:

- After selecting, the media will be uploaded to SecureSafe. As soon as your media is uploaded, you will see a confirmation, and the file will be available cross platforms, and to every user with access.
- Lastly, you can now upload any sort of file directly in-app. To do so, click on Upload files:

- The app will open your Files App of your device (in this example, the app My Files, from Samsung):

- Browse your Files app, until you find the file you want to upload. When you do, simply click on the file:

- Your document is now uploaded:

Good to know:
SecureSafe does not allow the upload of files that have the following characters:

/ (forward slash)
-
\ (backslash)
-
< (less than)
-
> (greater than)
-
: (colon)
-
" (double quote)
-
| (vertical bar or pipe)
-
? (question mark)
-
* (asterisk)
-
Dot at the end of the file name (.)
SecureSafe does not allow uploading files from Cloud provider apps, only local copies on the device can be uploaded.
