What do I do if Touch ID/fingerprint authentication does not work on my device?

For iPhone/iPad users:

In order to utilize Touch ID for logging into your SecureSafe account, certain requirements need to be met:

  • Your device must have a Touch ID sensor (available on iPhone 5S or later models and iPad Air 2 or later models).

  • Your device must have iOS 8 or later installed.

  • The Touch ID feature must be activated to unlock the device.

  • Touch ID must be manually enabled in the Settings tab of the SecureSafe app or via the setup wizard when logging in for the first time.

For Android phone users:

To use Fingerprint Authentication to log in to your SecureSafe account, the following requirements must be met:

  • Your Android device must have a fingerprint sensor.

  • Fingerprint Authentication for SecureSafe is compatible only with devices running Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) or newer versions.

  • The Fingerprint Authentication feature must be activated to unlock the device.

  • Fingerprint Authentication must be manually enabled in the Settings tab of the SecureSafe app or via the setup wizard when logging in for the first time.

How can I activate and use the password autofill feature on my Android phone?

Activate Autofill for Android

  1. Log in to your SecureSafe.

  2. Go to Settings.

  3. Activate Fingerprint Login.

  4. Activate Login without internet connection.

  5. Activate Autofill service.

Use Autofill for Android

  1. Launch the application you wish to log into.

  2. Select the username field and opt for Check within SecureSafe.

  3. You will be prompted to confirm your identity using your fingerprint.

  4. Select the respective saved password entry.

  5. Your login credentials will be automatically filled in the respective fields for you.

Please note: To use the autofill feature, you need Android 9.0 or higher. Currently, only a few apps like Facebook and Twitter support this feature. Among browsers, only Firefox Focus supports it. Please be aware that the individual app and browser providers decide whether to support this feature, not SecureSafe.

How can I enable and use the password autofill feature on my iPhone?

Note: Please note that to use the password autofill feature on your iPhone or iPad, Face ID/Touch ID must be enabled in the settings in SecureSafe.

Activate Autofill for iOS

  1. Navigate to the Settings on your iPhone and select Passwords & Accounts from the options available.
  2. Next, choose Autofill Passwords.
  3. From here, enable autofill by the SecureSafe app.

Use Autofill for iOS for a Web Login

  1. Open your preferred web browser on your iPhone.

  2. Select the username or password field.

  3. The correct username-password combination will automatically display for you to select.

  4. To enhance security, you will be asked to authenticate using either TouchID or FaceID.

  5. Once authenticated, your username and password will automatically fill in the appropriate fields, allowing you to easily access your account.

Use Autofill for iOS for an App Login

To use autofill when logging into an app, simply open the app and navigate to the login page. Then, follow the same steps as you would for logging in through a web browser.


How can I access my stored passwords without internet access?

Enabling Login without internet connection in the SecureSafe mobile app allows users to access their stored passwords even when offline. To activate this feature, make sure to set it up while connected to the internet. Keep in mind that while in this mode, you won't be able to create new passwords or make changes to existing ones.

To enable the Login without internet connection feature, follow these steps:

  1. Launch the SecureSafe mobile app to access the login screen.
  2. Navigate to Settings.
  3. Go to Login without internet connection.
  4. Enable Passwords available without internet connection by sliding the toggle to the right.
  5. Logging out will automatically generate an encrypted backup of your passwords on your smartphone.

Now, you can access your safe even without an internet connection by following these steps:

  1. Access the SecureSafe application on the login page.

  2. Before logging in, slide the toggle for Login without internet connection to the right.

  3. Click on the Login button to access offline mode.
