How do I change the role and rights of another member as an administrator of a team safe?

To change the role and rights of another member as an administrator of a team safe, follow these steps:

1. Log in to your SecureSafe account using your preferred web browser.

2. Select the desired Team Safe from the drop-down menu located in the upper left-hand corner of the screen.

3. Click on the member's icon on the left-hand side, which is typically represented by two silhouettes.

4. Right-click on the name of the team member whose role you wish to edit and then select the Edit option.

5. A window will appear, allowing you to choose the new role for the member from the drop-down menu labeled Role.

6. Select the appropriate role for the team member based on the permissions you want to grant them within the team safe.  

How do I accept a team safe invitation?

  1. When you are invited to join a team safe, you will find an invitation e-mail in your inbox.
  2. Open this e-mail and click the join team safe link.
  3. Fill in the security code, which you received either by SMS or otherwise got from the team safe admin.
  4. Confirm by clicking on Continue.
  5. If you already have a SecureSafe account, simply click the link I already have an account. The team safe will then appear in your existing account.
  6. Otherwise, create a new account by providing a username, password and e-mail address in the appropriate fields. Tick the Terms of service box and click on Create new account. Your SecureSafe is immediately created and you will have access to any team safe you have been invited to. How do I invite a new team safe member?

  1. Click on the dropdown menu in the upper left-hand corner of your SecureSafe and choose the relevant team safe.
  2. Click on the members icon.
  3. From here, click on the Invite button.
  4. Populate the fields with the relevant information of the individual you wish to invite to your team safe:
    1. Enter a nickname.
    2. Provide a valid e-mail address.
    3. Select a role for the new member. The chosen role decides what rights he or she has.
    4. If needed, change the invitation language.
  5. To protect your shared files, you must provide each new member with a one-time security code, which they need to gain access to the team safe. You can either choose to view and communicate this code manually (e.g. by phone), or you can send it by SMS.
  6. Once the new member has accepted your invitation, their status will change from Invited to Activated.
